TvN‘s k-drama “Reply 1997″ awarded as the ‘most Social Media Buzz’ according to CoB (Consumer’s Content Consuming Behavior).
According to kdramastars, “Reply 1997″ beat out shows on mainstream networks such as KBS 2TV’s “Bridal Mask” (2nd) and SBS’s “Running Man” (3rd) for the first week of September (9/3~9/9). It was named as the show with the most social media buzz (mentions on SNS, blogs, cafés, and various internet communities).
The show experienced tremendous popularity in many different areas such as broadcasting networks, culture, fashion, and trend. This just goes to show how popular “Reply 1997″ has become. It tells the story of 6 former high school friends from a school in Busan who meet again in 2012 and brings back memories to 1997 when they were still high school students. Moving back and forth between the ’90s and today, the story centers on the life of Sung Si Won (Jung Eun Ji), who idolizes boyband H.O.T. and her 5 high school friends.
Reply 1997 are starring A Pink’s Jung Eun Ji as Sung Si Won, Seo In Guk as Yoon Yoon Je, Shin So Yool as Mo Yoo Jeong, INFINITE’s Hoya as Kang Joon Hee, Eun Ji Won as Do Hak chan, and Lee Shi Un as Bang Sung Jae. This drama will reach the final episode, today at 11 PM KST with the title ”The Reason That First Love Never Succeeds“.
